The President of the United States, Donald Trump, has officially announced that Attorney General Pam Bondi will be stepping down from her position.
She is leaving the post to take on a new role in the private sector, a decision confirmed by the President.
Acknowledging her service over the past year, the President stated that under her leadership, law enforcement was successfully carried out, and the murder rate fell to its lowest level since 1900. He also described her as an “outstanding patriot.”
In her place, Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche has been appointed as the acting Attorney General. The President noted that he is a skilled and honorable lawyer.
It is also reported that Todd Blanche previously served as President Trump’s personal attorney.
